Does your portable PC have
a built-in wireless adapter? Older PCs normally do not have.
Do you have a switch to enable
the wireless adapter on your PC? Check that the adapter is switched
on.
Your PC must be configured
to obtain an IP address automatically. If you are using Windows XP you
can verify this by accessing Control Panel, Network connections and
properties for the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) for your Wireless Network
Connection.
Make sure your Wireless Network
Connection is not disabled. In Windows XP you can verify this by accessing
Control Panel, Network Connections and right-click on Wireless Network
Connection and click on Enable (if it is disabled).
In addition, you can check
that "BIBLIOTEKET" is available as a wireless network by accessing
the menu choice "View available wireless networks" (in the
Control Panel, Network Connections).
If "BIBLIOTEKET" is available select this and click on "Connect".
If multiple choices of "BIBLIOTEKET" are available select
the one with the highest signal strength.
